Please indicate what you plan to work on if you are chosen to participate in the Summer Internship.  Your proposal should include the area of materials science you wish to investigate.  
Consider the following questions when writing your proposal:

  • What approach would you use in your investigation (experimentation, research, etc)?
  • How will this benefit your classroom instruction? What area of your curriculum would this support?
  • What is your ultimate outcome (an experiment. additional material to reinforce your course material, project)?
  • How is this project related to Materials Science?
  • How do you expect this experience to enhance your classroom teaching?
  • What do you hope your students will gain from their participation in this project?
