The goal of this meeting is to promote collaborative nanotechnology research, education, technology transfer, entrepreneurship, and commercialization within Pennsylvania. By connecting education and industry, the conference will help provide a platform to enhance innovation, technology transfer, course curricula, job skills, and business growth.
Goals:
•Promote collaborative nanotechnology research, education, technology transfer, entrepreneurship, and commercialization within the Commonwealth.
•Publicize and promote PA leadership in nanotechnology R&D, workforce education, and growth of technology businesses.
•Explore viable nano-based strategies, programs, and resources to assist economic development in Pennsylvania via education, job creation and retention at all levels.
•Inform legislators and government agencies and connect them to the statewide nanotechnology community
•Connect educators, students, and business to enhance research outcomes, curricula, job skills, and growth opportunities.
What to Expect:
•Hear about applications, needs and plans, regulatory challenges and opportunities
•Overview of promising new technologies coming from PA universities and businesses that can impact your business and regional economy
•Processes and programs for moving laboratory technologies to commercial products
•Learn where new or established companies can look for financial and business support
•Learn how students, educators, and workers are learning about nanotechnology and skills for our future technology industries
•Network with industry and university representatives
